Harzer Allerlei...
Information about the Harz
Goslar
Goslar, the thousand-year-old imperial city in the Harz, invites you on an exciting journey through time from the Middle Ages to the present day. With lively events - for example Walpurgis, medieval and arts and crafts market, old town festival or Christmas market with Christmas forest - Goslar attracts thousands of visitors every year. Entertaining city and costume tours bring history to life.
Liebesbankweg
The varied Liebesbankweg offers an extraordinary experience for lovers, engaged couples and married couples, but also for the whole family - a hiking trail that makes the heart beat faster. You can linger with your partner on 25 individual love benches - thematically ranging from getting to know each other to diamond wedding anniversaries. Go on a journey of discovery on the love bench path and explore one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the Harz.
Mine
The mine in Lautenthal is one of the last mines in the region that is still accessible. Silver ore was mined there continuously from 1685 until the 19th century. Old equipment in the mining museum reminds us of this time.
Today, all visitors, young and old, family vacationers and groups can learn more about the work of the miners in the "Lautenthals Glück" mine. Visit the original silver mine: take the mine train into the historic tunnel. A highlight is the manual ore shipping underground.
